Location:

Grassington, situated in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, is the principle village of Upper Wharfedale. It is the ideal centre from which to explore the Dales, either on foot, by car or by bicycle. The wonderful surrounding limestone countryside provides a natural habitat for a wide variety of flora and fauna, some of which are quite rare. Walks in the area are numerous and varied, from a leisurely stroll along the banks of the Wharfe, to the strenuous ascent of the Buckden Pike. The holiday towns of Ilkley, Skipton, Harrogate and the city of York are within easy reach, and the Lake District is only a one hour drive away.
