Grassington Festival has been providing a lively and enriching cultural experience to residents and visitors for 40 years with its combination of performances, visual arts and live music.
Each year, Grassington comes alive in a myriad of colours and creativity as artists, bands, art enthusiasts and local people collaborate to entertain and inspire with unusual and unique live performances, from music, dance and street theatre to workshops, talks, walks and creative challenges. Dickensian Festival 4th December to the 12th December 2021
Dickensian market and entertainment programme on:
Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th December, and Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th of December
A programme of events and entertainment midweek, Monday to Friday.
Grassington Dickensian festive turns back time where visitors are treated to a glorious array of sights, tastes and smells from a bygone era. The village is adorned in Christmas lights, the square and streets come alive with a traditional market and Christmas carols are sung around the tree. Shopkeepers and villagers dress in Victorian costume and visitors can revel in delight at the musicians, dancers, street entertainers and the exhibitions of traditional country crafts.
Resident guests at Ashfield House will enjoy the special atmosphere, relaxing in front of the roaring fires.
The weekend includes two nights Bed & Breakfast.
